A facelift typically focuses on the lower two-thirds of the face, an area where many people say they experience the earliest and the most significant aging. Facelifts are an excellent, lasting way to ease many concerns like jawline and neck sagging, cheek volume, and wrinkles or folds.

Long considered the “go-to” procedure for men and women, today’s lift yields better, more natural-looking results than ever before. By restoring volume with your facelift, your face will not be tight but will instead be lifted and made to look youthful and refreshed.

An individualized approach needs to be taken with your face to get the best and most natural looking results. Dr. Rockmore offers a true spectrum of options rather than a few discrete facelift methods, and can guide you in finding the right choice for you. Learn more by scheduling a consultation today.

Facelift Options

Traditional Facelift

A rhytidectomy fully addresses and improves the advanced signs of aging in the face and neck. Excess skin is removed to smooth creases, sagging under the chin is eliminated, and cheeks are lifted. The tissues beneath the skin are lifted to avoid tension on the skin, leading to a natural result.

Mini Facelift

A mini facelift is best used when most of the aging changes are in the cheek area and the neck is fairly well preserved. It has limited recovery time and is sometimes referred to as a ``weekend lift.`` This can be done as an in-office procedure.

Face + Neck Lift

Cheeks are elevated back into a youthful position and neck tissues are tightened to restore the jawline and the angle of the neck. This avoids the pulled or tight look that can be associated with older facelifts. A necklift can be done alone or in conjunction with a facelift.

Facelift With Fat Grafts

Improve the appearance of your cheeks, lips, under eyes, smile lines, and more. Your own fat is used to restore the volume lost in the aging process. Because it is your own natural tissue, much of the restored volume is permanent. The amount of fat used is limited, creating improvement but avoiding an unnatural, over-filled face.

Nonsurgical Skin Treatments

A liquid facelift can be performed using a combination of fillers and injectables. This is most applicable for people with earlier signs of aging. Patients can expect to see their facial volume restored and wrinkles and fine lines diminished.

Combination Procedures

Additional procedures, such as eyelid surgery, brow lift, or non-surgical skin treatments are frequently combined with facelifts for a more comprehensive and natural looking transformation.

Results + Recovery

A facelift by Dr. Rockmore is an outpatient procedure, and you’ll need a trusted friend or family member to drive you home following surgery. Although you’ll experience some soreness during the first few days after surgery, discomfort is minimal and often controlled with over the counter pain medication. There are no bandages and you can shower and wash your hair the next day. After about a week, Dr. Rockmore removes sutures at a follow-up appointment, although swelling and bruising may persist during this time. Most patients feel confident enough to return to work and other light daily activities after about 2 weeks. By practicing healthy skincare habits and avoiding significant weight fluctuations, you can enjoy the results of your facelift for many years.
